Celebrities bring visibility and attract more media attention to public relations campaigns and special events than most other public relations strategies. Successfully contacting, negotiating, and working with celebrities, however, requires critical research and specialized rules of protocol. Public relations professionals who understand these elements will have a much more positive experience and a greater chance of success in making the right celebrity matches for their PR campaigns and special events. In this program you will learn about understanding the mindset of celebrities, what it takes to motivate them to say “yes,” and what you need to consider after they have confirmed participation. You’ll also gain valuable insights and learn trade secrets in how to select the right celebrity spokesperson, while avoiding some of the common pitfalls of working with celebrities.
